Workshops, Classes, Jam Sessions and a Contra Dance for Fiddlers and those who play with them. A variety of styles are presented by some of the region’s finest fiddle teachers with an emphasis on dance fiddle styles including Cape Breton, Irish, New England and Scandinavian.

About the Weekend Classes:
The weekend program offers two types of classes; most of our classes are 2 hours in length and feature options for fiddle students as well as those who play other instruments. Fiddle classes are at a variety of levels, but players of other instruments should have a reasonably good command of their instruments and be able to learn repertoire from written music or by ear in order to get the most out of these classes.
We offer an all-day class on Saturday for our least experienced fiddlers with Joe Herrmann as well as a hammered dulcimer track with Karen Ashbrook. These classes run during the same scheduled times as the “a la carte” classes, but will have a more continuous program and will work more with the individual needs of developing players.
