Shepherdstown is 1.5 hours west of
Washington DC or Baltimore and is 20 minutes
from the Martinsburg exit off I-81.

To Shepherdstown:
From Wash. DC or Baltimore:
- Start out going North on the Capital Beltway/I-495 N toward Frederick/Baltimore.
- Merge onto I-270 Spur N via exit number 38 - on the left - toward Rockville/Frederick. I-270 Spur N becomes I-270 N.
- Merge onto I-70 W toward Hagerstown.
- Merge onto US-340 W via exit number 52 toward Charles Town/Leesburg.
- Turn right onto WV-230/Frontage Rd. Continue to follow WV-230 straight into Shepherdstown (apprx. 9 miles).
- Cross the tracks at O'Hurley's General Store. Shortly after,
- Turn Right onto Princess Street, continue straight.
- At first Stop sign, Turn Left onto German Street (downtown Shepherstown).
From Northern VA:
Shepherd Student Center
Classes are on the 2nd floor
- Start out traveling on VA-7 W/Harry Byrd Hwy. Continue to follow VA-7 W. Merge onto VA-7 W toward Warrenton/Winchester.
- Take the VA-9 ramp toward Hillsboro/Charles Town W VA.
- Turn right onto Charles Town Pike/VA-9. Stay straight to go onto VA-671 N/Harpers Ferry Rd.
- Turn Left onto Jefferson Pike/US-340. Continue to follow US-340 S.
- Turn Right onto WV-230/Frontage Rd. Continue to follow WV-230 straight into Shepherdstown (apprx. 9 miles).
- Cross the tracks at O'Hurley's General Store. Shortly after, Turn Right onto Princess Street, continue straight.
- At first Stop sign, Turn Left onto German Street (downtown Shepherstown).
From I-81:
- Get on I-81 towards Martinsburg, WV.
- Take Exit 14E (Tavern Rd.).
- Go Approximately 2 miles to stop light. Go straight across and follow WV-45/E Moler Ave approximately 8 miles.
- WV-45 becomes WV-230/E German St (Downtown Shepherdstown).
